Chase overhauls Aeroplan card with 25K status and Air Canada credits
The $195 annual-fee card gains new bonus categories, up to $100 a year in Air Canada credits and discounted flight redemptions.
Chase unveiled an update to the Chase Air Canada Aeroplan Credit Card on September 10, 2026. The changes applied from that day to both new and existing primary cardmembers. The annual fee is $195 USD.
Holders are granted Aeroplan 25K Status outright, without any spend threshold to qualify. It brings Priority Check-In, Priority Boarding (Zone 2), Star Alliance recognition and 5 eUpgrade Credits annually. The card also introduces up to $100 USD per year in Air Canada statement credits, issued as up to two $50 credits every six months. In addition, a $120 USD credit covers an application for Global Entry, NEXUS or TSA PreCheck on a four-year cycle, and the card carries no foreign transaction fees.
Air Canada purchases can return up to 5X in combined Aeroplan points, split between 3X from the card and an extra 2X from Air Canada for 25K members. Travel purchases now earn 3X. Restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations earn 2X, and everything else earns 1X.
On the redemption side, flights on eligible Air Canada itineraries booked with points are discounted by 15%. From January 2027, a 4th Day Free applies at more than 11,000 car rental locations when four days are reserved together using points. The welcome bonus reaches 115,000 points: 75,000 after $4,000 in spending within three months, then 40,000 more after $20,000 within 12 months.
