U.S. Bank adds two business Visa cards paying a flat 2%, one with a $295 fee
Business Essentials has no annual fee. Business Essentials Plus adds a 5% tier on the top spending area, applied to as much as $200,000 per year.
On September 28, 2026, U.S. Bank introduced a pair of credit products for small companies: the Business Essentials Visa Card and the Business Essentials Plus Visa Signature Card.
Each card returns a flat 2% in cash rewards on every qualifying purchase, with no cap. A cardholder who also holds a qualified U.S. Bank business checking account with qualifying balances can reach a combined 2.5% on Business Essentials and a combined 3.5% on the Plus card. The Plus card also gives 5% back automatically in whichever area the company spends the most, for up to $200,000 in annual spending.
Business Essentials carries no annual fee, while Plus costs $295 per year. Qualifying new holders of the no-fee card can collect a $500 cash bonus after spending $5,000 within the first 150 days, and they get a 0% APR on purchases through the initial 12 billing cycles. The Plus card pays a $1,000 cash bonus after $15,000 in spending during the same 150-day window.
Both products come with the bank's Spend Management tools and its ExtendPay payment plan. Rewards can be deposited into a qualifying business checking account or used as a statement credit. The cards are open to U.S. residents. The announcement does not list ongoing APRs or other fees. The bank also said actor Jessica Alba will be the face of its advertising for the cards.
