What changed in credit cards, week ending October 25, 2026

The week ending October 25, 2026: 1 new video and 33 new guides. Every figure comes from the issuers’ own pages, with the day it was checked.

Every week Julia’s Wallet checks the figures its videos state against the issuers’ own pages and follows what the issuers announce. Here is what moved in the week ending October 25, 2026.

New from Julia this week:

New video: Amex Gold vs Chase Sapphire Preferred: Which One Earns Its Fee?

New guide: Which Credit Cards Earn the Most on Gas, and What the Fine Print Means. Costco and Sam's Club pay 5 percent on fuel, but caps, memberships and slow rewards decide who really keeps more than a flat 2 percent card.

New guide: Blue Cash Preferred or Capital One Savor: which pays more on streaming. Blue Cash Preferred pays 6 percent on streaming but costs 95 dollars a year. Capital One Savor pays 3 percent with no fee, so the fee decides it.

New guide: Best Buy card or flat 2% cash back: which wins on a $1,200 purchase? On a 1,200 dollar purchase the My Best Buy card's rewards can beat 2 percent cash back by 36 dollars, but only if you use every certificate dollar on planned shopping.

New guide: Which credit cards earn the most at restaurants, ranked by Julia's Wallet Score. Capital One Savor leads the dining cards with a Wallet Score of 76 out of 100, and Chase Freedom Unlimited follows at 75. The annual fee decides much of the rest.

New guide: Which card to use for Amazon orders: Prime Visa or a flat 2 percent card. On $5,400 of yearly Amazon and Whole Foods spending, Prime Visa earns $270 and a flat 2 percent card earns $108, but only if you keep Prime anyway.

New guide: Are Premium Travel Cards Worth the Annual Fee? The Fee Against Credits You'd Use. A premium travel card pays off only when its credits replace bills you already have; in Julia's examples, only some cleared fees of 395 to 895 dollars.

And 27 more new guides this week, across credit cards, points and miles, travel and tech.
